Robert is a Director in Deloitte’s climate and sustainability services and advises clients on sustainability strategy, carbon-neutral pathways, supply chain sustainability, renewable energy and carbon offsets.

Travis Joern is the Director of Corporate Communications and Government Relations for BC Forestry Innovation Investment (FII China) and Canada Wood China. Representing the Canadian forest industry in China, Canada Wood and FII provides technical exchanges on advanced applications for wood in construction and manufacturing industries.

Travis has been engaged with Chinese markets since 2001. Prior to his current role at Canada Wood, Travis was the Managing Director for the Canada China Business Council, the Managing Partner at Traverse Global Consulting, and published academic articles on Chinese history at McGill University. Over his career, Travis has coordinated high-level programs for both Chinese and Canadian government officials of key federal, provincial and sectoral trade missions. He has worked with hundreds of companies on trade policies, regulations and market development strategies. Travis serves as the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (CanCham Shanghai), a board member for the charity Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC), as a special advisor to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Pearl River Delta (CanCham PRD) and a member the Canadian Creative Industries Advisory Group in Shanghai.

Liu Peiqi, graduated from Northeast Forestry University in 1985, majoring in wildlife, has been engaged in wildlife ecology and management for many years in the research department. From 2005 to 2011, he carried out research and conservation work on the breeding population of the Scaly-sided Merganser (Mergus squamatus) in northeast China, and independently produced a documentary film about this bird. From 2011 to 2014, he led a team of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) to carry out the conservation project for saving the wild Amur tiger. In 2014, he joined WWF China. As the head of WWF Northeast China regional program, he is responsible for the development and management of the conservation programs on Amur tiger and leopard, migratory birds and fish, ecosystem restoration of forest, wetlands and grassland, and green development of agriculture.

Alvin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Publishing Editing from Wuhan University and graduated from Kings College London with a Master’s Degree in Digital Asset and Media Management. He started his career in Shanghai with Burson-Marsteller, a global-leading PR agency where he took responsibilities to lead clients in diversified industries while accumulating rich experiences in PR & Communications.

Alvin joined Pernod Ricard China in 2019 and now holds the position of Communications Manager, leading brand PR for the group’s whisky portfolio including Chivas, The Glenlivet and THE CHUAN Malt Whisky Distillery. In the meantime, he worked closely with the Communications team to initiate S&R projects at both corporate and brand levels featuring The Bar World of Tomorrow bartender training, Martell mangrove conservation project and responsible drinking activations at brand events.
