  • Dr. Jeffrey Dong

    Dr. Jeffrey Dong

    Dr. Dong is a leading interculturalist in China with extensive experience in international management, cross-cultural adaptation and communication, global leadership, multicultural team management, and international sales and marketing. He once served as the Director of the APAC region for TMC/Berlitz and led its regional operations. He is now associated with CIIC as its Head Consultant and Executive Coach for global talent development services.

    Jeffrey was born in China and worked for over 10 years in Canada and the United States. Upon his return to China in 2003, he worked at the Vice President level in Sales and Marketing for a number of companies, while also providing intercultural consulting and coaching services to clients in Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.

    Jeffrey’s ability to customize services and implementation brings special value to organizations that wish to expand business across geographic and cultural borders. His expertise has helped numerous companies adapt to cross-cultural contexts, build effective channels of communication and create truly global leaders. In cooperation with partners, he has provided training and coaching services to over 100 large global companies and organizations, which include 3M, Cargill, Honeywell, Medtronic, Emerson, Colgate, Avery Denison, Bombardier, Heinz, Infineon, Merck, Nortel, Pentair, Walmart, Starbucks, Moog, Molex, Grainger, Autodesk, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, Shanghai GM, Shanghai Auto, Weichai Power, Bank of China, Fujian Benz, Dongfeng Auto, Yanfeng Johnson Control, and CSOT.

    Jeffrey received his Ph.D. from York University (Canada) and MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Jeffrey is an honorary professor of the School of Management, Ocean University of China. His publications include Cross Culture and Faith (University of Toronto Press, 2005), Canadian Business Culture (in Chinese, Shandong University Press, 2005), and articles in professional journals.
