Since April 1, 2017, Shanghai has implemented new visa rules under its pilot Foreign Worker Visa Program. The reform also introduced a Foreigner’s Work Permit card.

While the new reforms were aimed at easing visa procedures, many companies have reported difficulties under the new program.

In order to help member companies gain a better understanding of the reforms, SwissCham Shanghai will host a briefing by Mrs. Zhu Yinghua from Shanghai Foreign Expert Affairs Bureau/Shanghai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on the new policies. Mrs. Zhu’s bureau is responsible for implementing the new reform. Following her briefing, there will be a Q&A session.
