The outbreak and related response have caused a multitude of different situations to be dealt with by the community. CanCham Shanghai would like to give a chance to our members to share about their experiences, so that we may learn and grow stronger together in the face of this crisis. CanCham would like to invite you to a Webinar this Friday, February 21th, 2020, at 1:30PM to stay connected and learn about the situation and its impacts on Canadian's business relations with China.
For the occasion, CanCham Shanghai is collaborationg with CanCham PRD and CanCham Beijing to open the discussions at a national level.

Mathieu Cormier
Executive Director of CanCham ShanghaiFormer diplomat, Mathieu has extensive experience in internationals relations, business development, investment, and management. He has contributed to the internationalization of several hundred Canadians companies since 2008 in China thanks to his expertise in import-export, strategy, marketing, financing and project management. China is a well-known market for him, where he first visited in 2002, and now live since 2012.
He's presently leading the Canadian business community in Shanghai as Executive Director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CanCham), with energy and new initiatives.
Mathieu holds a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from Université Laval, as well as a Master's degree in International Public Administration from the National School of Public Administration (ENAP) of Université du Québec. He also studied Mandarin at Tianjin Nankai University in China, and Politics at the University of Granada in Spain.

She has more than 20 years of work experience across industry sectors in high-tech manufacturing, financial institutions, hotel and tourism management, fast moving consumer goods and education. What is more, she has held senior management, CEO and director positions in multinational companies and has served as director of new business development, government relations VP, corporate merger integration consultant, and executive coach/mentor. During the executive positions of multinational groups, she has formulated and implemented the group's global brand building strategy, OEM key customer maintenance, integration of multinational and cross-regional product, research and development, marketing, human resources and other optimization and lean production. She also actively promoted cross-cultural communication training in the group's high-level strategic plan, and later personally participated in cross-cultural communication training for Chinese and foreign executives. In 2015, she participated in a training course on cross-cultural communication from 25 overseas executives to the headquarters of Fosun International Limited.

Pierre has provided practical accounting and business advices to foreign companies over his past 14 years in China.
Pierre holds a MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a Bachelor degree in Chartered Accountancy from University of Waterloo. He is both a member of the Canadian Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
He started his career with Mackenzie Financial, a well respected Mutual fund company in Toronto, Canada before moving to China in 2004.
He can speak fluent Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
